Dateformat adjusted to YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS and timezone is UTC because of international access.

FYI, the old format was YY/MM/DD(DoW)HH:MM.

How would you get something shipped from the darknet without getting tracked?
Any exp points/ stories on this?

File: 1459456269001.png -(251185 B, 770x600) Thumbnail displayed, click image for full size.

This i was thinking about, too.
I would try to ship to an address in a ghetto building in random city. Fetch the mail at night.

>> No.231

I don't know where you live, but if you live in the US or another country where your mail cannot be searched without just cause then you have little to worry about (as long as you ship domestic).
Well rated vendors on markets like Alphabay and Nucleus are not dummies. They vacuum seal stuff and ship it in nondescript packaging. The cops would have to have the dealer under surveillance to catch the package, which means you would be extraordinarily unlucky.
To be honest, you first order is scary as hell. I was sweating for days before my package arrived. After that it just feels like you're ordering off Amazon or something.

Using a fake name is dumb. It may actually raise suspicion if the postal service goes "Why the hell is the Smith residence getting mail for some guy named Joe Smackloattadickowski?"
Shipping to some crack shack isn't a great idea either. The postal service might not deliver because they may know the place in uninhabited. Or maybe they won't give a shit, who knows?

In the incredibly unlikely event that you do get caught the police would most likely attempt a controlled delivery. This is where an undercover tries to personally hand you the package so they can get proof that you accepted it. A seller will NEVER request a signature when sending or something like that. If this happens, just say you aren't expecting a package from that address and it must be a mistake. They will have a difficult time proving that you did anything wrong, since anyone can send you something in the mail and you have no control over that.

So you never get caught. But what, if the darknet market is a honeypot or was made a honeypot after raiding of the feds. Now they don't ship registered nor signature requirement, and only observe your house if you retrive the package?

>> No.237

That would insanely difficult to pull off (toppling a market and operating it). The only time that has ever happened was when a CP ring got busted and the feds exploited a Javascript bug to get the real IPs of people who were coming to buy on the site.
When you buy over these markets you send your address info in a PGP encrypted message. If the feds found the server and seized the site they still would not have your personal info unless they also found the dealers and got them to cooperate and decrypt the messages for them. This is nigh impossible to pull off. When Silk Road went down only 18 people in total were arrested, and most of them were site staff or dealers.
Targeting smalltime buyers is simply not worth the effort unless you're in Russia or something. The FBI is not going to go out of their way to arrest every guy who buys some personal use amounts of whatever drug you're buying. They know that your testimony would be useless because you don't know who the dealer is or where he is.
Stick with the well known markets. Don't buy from random ass onion sites. Keep your cybersecurity in line too. Never ever enable Javascript or Flash. If you really want to go all the way you could go connect from a public wifi hotspot or something.

If you are really paranoid about it you could just leave the package UNOPENED on your counter with "return to sender" written on it. If the cops kicked your door in you could just claim that you planned on dropping it off at the post office at your earliest convenience, because you believe it was delivered by mistake.

>> No.241

If it was a honeypot then theres nothing you can really do about it, thats part of the risk involved. Realistically, the chance of it being a honey pot is pretty damn slim.

Just have it sent to your house, with your name on it. Its less suspicious and I promise you, your the only one that knows whats in that package. (well, and the sender obviously)

Its really easy, just remember, you know more than everyone else.(about your shipment)
